Dermatologist approved skincare tips for sensitive dry and oily skin

Sensitive skin (prone to reactions)

  1. Natural products with fewer ingredients and less fragrances are safe for sensitive skin. You should also avoid cosmetics with alcohol content and antibacterial agents.
  2. Add moisturizer and face mask as an essential part of your routine and prevent sun exposure.
  3. Cleanse your face with micellar water.

Dry skin (rough and itchy skin)

  1. Apply moisturizer frequently and avoid showers.
  2. The natural oil-based products are safe for itchy skin, these include olive oil, jojoba oil, mineral oil, shea butter, glycerin, lanolin and urea.
  3. Creams/ ointments (with dimethicone, hyaluronic acid, and petrolatum) are

more beneficial than lotions for extra dry skin.

Oily (shiny and greasy skin)

  1. You should avoid soaps/ face wash with added moisturizers.
  2. Acne care products with glycolic acid and salicylic acid are effective and safe in recommended amount.
  3. The use of toners is beneficial too.
  4. Retinol, hyaluronic acid, salicylic acid, Niacinamide, clay and spearmint are prescribed for oily skin.
